About the course

This course is AOTA-approved for 2 contact hours or 0.2 CEUs. It is a distant learning, intermediate-level course delivered in both interactive (LIVE) and independent (ON-Demand) formats. The connection between the vestibular system and children’s language and literacy development is vital, yet often overlooked. You will learn the direct connection between these systems and evidence-based, sensory integration interventions to support children. This course is appropriate for all pediatric occupational therapy providers. Speech and language pathologists and teachers may also find this information beneficial. This course is recommended for those with a basic foundation of sensory integration principles. If you are looking to obtain foundational knowledge of sensory integration, the Simply Sensory Modules are recommended for those with little to no knowledge of sensory integration and sensory processing. Occupational therapy providers are encouraged (but not required) to take The Roadmap to a Comprehensive Sensory Assessment and Developing "Just Right" Sensory Integration Interventions courses prior. Bonus resources: Many evidence-based printable resources, current research, and relevant literature. CEUs: 0.2 CEUs or 2 contact hours
